Opportunity: Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust are recruiting for a Trustee – apply by 15/07/22

Are you a young person looking to make a difference?

Joining The Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust at this exciting time, as they launch their new strategy for a wilder future, could be the best and most unique opportunity for you! They are looking for young people, aged 18-25, that care about shaping the future of their work.

What will I get from getting involved?

The Trust provide an induction, full training and personal development opportunities. By the end of your term in office (3 years) you will:

  • have utilised your skills and talents and developed new ones
  • have brought different points of view to the Council’s discussion
  • improved personal networks
  • improved career prospects
  • got involved in the local community
  • made a difference

Do I need any particular skills or experience to apply?

They are looking for people with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • ecological, climate, nature or wildlife;
  • community or volunteer engagement;
  • business engagement;
  • marketing and communications;
  • digital;
  • fundraising and income generation

Most importantly you will have a passion for nature and wildlife and for helping to make it easier for more local people to be engaged with their environment. The Trust can offer training and support where necessary, as well as a comprehensive induction, mentoring and buddy system. Applications must be sent to jane.d@bbcwildlife.org.uk by 15 July 2022.
