Opportunity from Birmingham’s Affordable Warmth Partnership

The Affordable Warmth Partnership (AWP) invites proposals from organisations or independent traders who are able to assist the partnership to deliver this commission, and to particularly improve services provided to vulnerable households.

Applicants will have demonstrable experience in leading service development commissions, together with an understanding of the domestic energy advice field, including the Government’s Green Deal initiative – and the links between housing and public health to successfully combat the negative effects of fuel poverty within vulnerable households.

Expanding access to affordable warmth solutions

The work of the Service Development Partner will help the partnership not only build its customer representation, but will play a key role in developing a comprehensive home energy advice service to support those residents either already experiencing fuel poverty or who are at risk of becoming fuel poor.

Requirements of the contract

The earliest award date for this contract will be late September, with the appointed Service Development Partner contracted to complete the commission by Friday 6 December 2013.  The Tender Specification is available to download from this page.

The contact value is up to a maximum of £9,500.00

Completed proposals are to be returned to Vanessa Cusack, Adults and Communities Directorate: vanessa.cusack@birmingham.gov.uk by noon on Monday 9 September.
