Partners sought for environmental big data project

Researchers at Coventry University are seeking partners with expertise in the analysis and assimilation of ‘big data’ – particularly in relating satellite-acquired remotely sensed data with data from on-the-ground observations. Partners will join the University in submitting a bid for external funds to finance a project that aims to relate these two sets of observations with the overall objective of developing a system to identify patterns in these datasets and to predict, potentially, future trends. The focus of this particular project is around urban heat islands. Further information will be provided to interested parties upon contacting the project lead.
