Project Manager Maternity Cover – Job Opportunity

Worcestershire is one of the fastest growing economies in the Country and the Sustainability and Growth and Investment Teams in the County Council run a number of projects to support business growth and efficiency. The Sustainability Team is seeking a dedicated project manager to deliver the Low Carbon Opportunities Programme, an EU funded programme to support Worcestershire small-to-medium enterprises to install renewable energy systems and also to develop low carbon technologies. Closing date for applications: 1 May 2018 Recruiter: Worcestershire County Council Location: Worcester Salary: £28,522 – £30,729 per annum Working hours: 35 Hours per week Job description: The varied work involved in project managing this programme includes day-to-day liaison with businesses, planning and running events, marketing the support available and budget management. You will work with a range of businesses, including supporting innovators developing cutting-edge clean technologies which will result in significant carbon savings in the future. If you have experience of project management, preferably publicly funded projects, knowledge of the local business community and the issues businesses face, experience of managing budgets and working with partners, this could be the job for you. You will work alongside colleagues delivering a similar EU funded programme as well as other sustainability work within the community and the council.
