Rush-hour challenge a success

Last year Public Health England West Midlands ran a Rush Hour Challenge event with Coventry LA which saw council staff using a variety of non-motorised transport from bikes to scooters and roller blades to challenge the car to see who could get from the council steps to a destination two miles away first.  The idea was to promote sustainable travel and exercise. This year the challenge was taken up by another four local areas (Walsall, Warwickshire, Solihull and Birmingham) plus Coventry again in collaboration with SUSTRANS and Bromford Bikes.  As with last year, Nigel Smith, Health & Wellbeing Manager, PHE West Midlands, produced a short film based on footage shot by the participants which you may be interested in viewing or sharing. The film can be seen at https://vimeo.com/138304051
