SDU launches Health Outcomes Travel Tool

NHS organisations can now use a new tool to quantify many of the health and economic impacts from their travel and transport.  The tool will help organisations make the business case for changes to their travel and transport strategies. This might include switching to electric vehicles to cut pollution and save money, using technology to reduce patient and staff travel and costs or running staff engagement programmes to encourage active travel – cutting congestion, pollution and boosting health. The tool will help evidence some of the most significant health, social and local economic benefits of reducing environmental harms, such as air pollution. There are versions for: •    NHS providers (mental health, acute, community) •    Ambulance providers •    Primary care (to follow end of June) Learn more, download the tool and start using at: www.sduhealth.org.uk/HOTT SDU
