The Carbon Trust’s START2ACT programme offers free energy efficiency training and mentoring for start-ups and young SMEs by offering breakfast events, on-site energy efficiency training and energy efficiency mentoring. This programme is operating in 9 European countries and funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. SWM member, the Carbon Trust, is implementing it in the UK. From April 2017, an open-access interactive online platform will be launched with a variety of energy efficiency resources for SMEs and startups. The platform will include a website with energy efficiency advice, an eLearning course and an energy saving competition. If you work for a young SME, defined as a company with fewer than 50 employees that has been operating for under five years, you can register your interest in the START2ACT programme now.
