Stratford’s Community Climate Change Fund: successful applications

SWM Member Stratford-on-Avon District Council has reviewed and notified the successful projects put forward for the First Phase of the Community Climate Change Fund (CCCF).

In November 2023, Stratford-on-Avon’s Community Climate Change Fund was established to invest in work to tackle climate change and allow the District Council to aid initiatives from community groups, charities and Town and Parish Councils to progress climate change agendas.

The details of the projects and the funds allocated to them can be found below:

Projects will be delivered between June and March 2025.

The first round of the Community Climate Change Fund had a budget of £50,000. The successful grants represent a combined total of £44,137 capital. The remaining £5,863 will be carried over to the second round of the Fund, where a total of £55,863 will be available to successful applicants. Dates for the second round are to be confirmed.

Cllr Susan Juned, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, said: “There was an exceptional number of expressions of interest submitted for this project. We are extremely pleased with the community engagement and environmental improvements that will be enabled by the successful projects.

“The CCCF is one of a number of District Council initiatives which aim to assist and work with local community groups and Town and Parish Councils who want to address the climate and ecological emergencies. This is one of the aims of the Council Plan.”
