The Sustainable Health and Care awards are now open to entry! The awards programme will highlight and celebrate the fantastic sustainable development work across the NHS, social care and public sector. Providing organisations, teams and individuals the opportunity to showcase their projects. These awards are open for entry by any public sector health and care organisation in the UK. Organisations, teams and individuals can enter into more than one category and may submit more than one person or project for the same award. When you are preparing your award entry it is encouraged that you show coverage of how the initiative contributes to the four areas below. It is appreciated that not all applications will be able to show impact in all of the areas listed.
- Governance and policy – is the work embedded into a longer-term plan or policy, backed at a senior level.
- Corporate impact – can the organisation demonstrate direct improvements from its actions which are resulting in cost savings and carbon reduction.
- Procurement and supply chain – can you provide any evidence on how you have involved, engaged or considered suppliers or could do so in the future.
- Working with staff, patients and communities – can you demonstrate how patients, staff and community partners have been involved in the project; how it has or will benefit them.
