SWM and Sharpsmart win Sustainable Healthcare Products Challenge

SWM have been awarded a contract by the Sustainable Development Unit to report on and quantify the environmental, financial and social benefits to the health sector and society of the Sharpsmart management system. Sharpsmart is an engineered safety device which eliminates risk of container-related sharps injury, and minimises the impact on the environment. SWM will review the benefits found throughout the 10 year life span of the product. In addition, the SDU awarded contracts to U-Drain and Carbon Footprint Ltd, and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHSFT and Cochlear UK.
