SWM Chief Executive shortlisted for an IEMA Impact Award alongside other SWM members

SWM’s very own Chief Executive Anna Bright has been shortlisted for an IEMA Impact Award, in the category of ‘Sustainable Leader’. She’ll be up against Samantha Rowe (Chief Executive Officer, Ignition DG) and Rowan Byrne (Technical Principal Marine Ecology & Marine Plastics Leader, Mott MacDonald). We are excited for our own Chief Executive to be up for these awards alongside other members, including Mott MacDonald and Arup.

The Awards

The IEMA Sustainability Impact Awards recognise the people and businesses that are transforming the world to sustainability. Launched by IEMA in 2019, the awards showcase the achievements of organisations striving to tackle the global challenges of the climate and environmental emergency. IEMA is the professional body for everyone working in the environment and sustainability. We are committed to supporting, encouraging and improving the confidence and performance, profile and recognition of all IEMA members.

Other categories

‘Sustainable Leader’ is not the only category available in the Impact Awards. Other categories include: ‘Community and Social Value’, ‘Sustainable Finance’, ‘Energy and Carbon Transition’ and ‘Sustainability Strategy to Achieve Net Zero’ amongst several others. The IEMA Sustainability Impact Awards 2020 shortlist was announced on Wednesday 1 July. To see the full list of categories and shortlist, click here.
