SWM survey on ‘Building business resilience to the impacts of extreme weather events’

We would like as many West Midlands SMEs to fill in our survey as possible – it is focused on the potential impacts of extreme weather events on SMEs across the West Midlands, and will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

An ABI study revealed that 80% of businesses that do not have an emergency plan in place do not recover from a major incident such as a flood, even where insurance is in place to cover financial losses.

This survey is part of a project which aims to help SMEs in the West Midlands become more resilient to extreme weather.

Why complete this survey?

  • It will help you to identify where you are against current good practice.
  • We will use the survey findings to develop free support for SMEs in the West Midlands, and to share examples of good practice.
  • If  requested, you will receive the overall results and details of any follow up support.

Click here to complete the survey. Thank you for your time and valuable input.

We will be collecting responses until 30 April 2013.

This survey has been developed by Sustainability West Midlands on behalf of the Environment Agency.

All information gathered will be governed by SWM’s data protection policy and individual businesses will not be identified in the results, unless by prior agreement to highlight good practice.
