TfWM wins £2.6m to help tackle road congestion

TfWM has been informed that its bid for £2.6m of funding to reduce congestion in Birmingham and Solihull has been successful and this funding will go towards research on the current road network in order to help establish needs and future policy. It is hoped that this will be able to reduce congestion and improve journey times. There are a number of projects that will affect traffic in the West Midlands county in the next few years, not limited to HS2 works, Commonwealth Games preparation, and Sprint/Metro construction.
