The University of Birmingham are launching their Green Economy Series in partnership with the Climate Innovation Platform

Propel Your Business with the Green Economy

Introducing the University of Birmingham’s new Green Economy Series (delivered by the Climate Innovation Platform, The University of Birmingham) a fully-funded programme (West Midlands Combined Authority) designed to support and elevate aspiring businesses in the Midlands by exploring the green economy and highlighting how your business could benefit from current and upcoming opportunities. This programme will be delivered through a series of half day workshops (~10am-1pm) based at Tyseley Energy Park, Birmingham.

The Green Economy Series (This event has been postponed until Friday 13 December 2024):

  • Friday 13 December: The Green Economy – Introduction and TEP Tour

    Kick off with an introduction to the green economy, including an exclusive tour of Tyseley Energy Park (TEP). Discover a range of cutting-edge sustainability focused technologies and emerging opportunities. Will Broad, Business Growth Lead (Fast Followers Programme), Birmingham City Council will also share regional funding opportunities.
  • Friday 17 January: The Green Economy – Social and Environmental Impact

    Delve into the social impact of the green economy through a panel discussion led by Vicky Ayton, BizED Projects CIC. Understand how your business can contribute positively to society.
  • Friday 31 January: The Green Economy – Networking for Success

    Enhance your networking skills – Session led by ClimateTech entrepreneur Sue Tonks. Here you’ll have the opportunity to build valuable connections and connect with others interested in the green economy.
  • Friday 7 February: The Green Economy – Business Strategy and Growth

    Dive into business growth strategies with John Cooke our Entrepreneur in Residence. Gain actionable insights on expanding your business within the green sector.
