The Green Tech Bootcamp

The Green Tech Bootcamp is a 6-week, completely online and part-time course designed to help businesses address greenwashing and adopt real sustainable practices.

You’ll learn how to evaluate the environmental impact of digital technologies and implement solutions that reduce carbon footprints and improve energy efficiency. Key learning areas include:

  • Understanding the environmental impact of digital technologies
  • Strategies for integrating sustainability into business operations
  • Frameworks for improving energy efficiency through innovation

Starting on Tuesday, 11th February, and running on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings – 18:00 – 21:30. This 6 week online course looks to equip you with the foundations of sustainability within tech, and the opportunity to develop practical strategies to reduce the environmental impact within your business.

Free for self-employed individuals and employed individuals earning £30k or less. For SMEs, 90% of the cost is funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority, requiring only a £550 contribution (which can be written off as Learning & Development).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be over 19 years of age
  • Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Have not received education funding in the previous academic year
  • Business must be based in the West or East Midlands
  • Must be self-employed, employed, or looking to change industries/upskill
