The Rebuild Site & The Reuse Hub Impact Report 2024

By helping community groups access free materials, running skills workshops to boost DIY confidence, and promoting sustainable crafting and building practices, The Rebuild Site & The Reuse Hub are fostering a culture of reuse that benefits both people and the planet.

The Rebuild Site & The Reuse Hub are dedicated to changing the way people think about surplus construction materials. Vast amounts of valuable materials go to waste materials that could be reclaimed, repurposed, and reused instead of being thrown away or downcycled. Their mission is to create new value from these materials by making them accessible to community groups, charities, and individuals who need them.

Highlights of the Impact Report 2024:

  • The Rebuild Site & The Reuse Hub have now diverted well over 8,000 tonnes of building materials from becoming waste, maximising resources and reducing emissions to the tune of 9,600 tonnes of CO2e.
  • They sold out 7,000 litres of reused and remanufactured paint.
  • They proudly opened a second site in Wolverhampton, The Reuse Hub, in collaboration with ASAN Wood Saints.
  • The Carlisle Tool Library welcomed its 200th member.
  • Through community programmes, workshops, and material donations, by the end of 2024, they had directly and indirectly supported over 20,000 people.
