The UK Government has announced its Bioeconomy strategy from 2018-2030. The UK Bioeconomy is worth an estimated £220bn and supports 5.2m jobs. The strategy has 4 main goals: maximise potential from current Bioeconomy resources, create the right market environment for new innovative ideas, capitalise on research to grow the Bioeconomy, and deliver real results for the UK economy.
