Veolia, the UK’s leading resource management company, is offering free education sessions to individuals or community groups in Birmingham. Veolia handles the treatment of Birmingham’s waste and recycling, working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to promote messages about reducing waste, and making greener choices.  

This service is FREE for all organisations and individuals in Birmingham! 

Our knowledgeable staff provide an in-depth understanding of waste management and living sustainably. We engage with participants through interactive activities, art, games, and debate.  

Format options:
  • Workshop (1-1.5 hours)
  • Workshop course (4 sessions, lasting 1 hour)
  • Craft workshop (2 hours)
  • Litter pick + workshop (2-3 hours)
Topics include: 
  • The Journey of Waste
  • The Waste Hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover)
  • Contamination and Dangerous Waste 
  • The Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) process
  • The importance of recycling in an age of Climate Change
  • The importance of recycling in an age of Pollution
