SWM member Marches Energy Agency is looking for a compassionate and organised volunteer to assist individuals with applications for grants. Many people who get in touch with the MEA struggle to heat their homes due to inadequate heating, poor insulation or costly energy bills. MEA’s Grant Support Volunteer will make a real difference to such individuals by helping them identify and make applications for funds on their behalf. If you like talking to people, have a basic knowledge of I.T, a few hours a week to spare and are looking for a worthwhile opportunity, they would love to hear from you! The role is based in Shrewsbury and training and expenses will be provided. Marketing & Promotion Intern MEA is also looking for an intern to join their team, based at their Shrewsbury office. The post holder will work with MEA’s Project Managers to promote their energy advice services. This will involve drafting social media content as well as articles and promotions for newsletters and other printed materials across MEA’s project areas. The ideal candidate would be able to commit around 10 – 15 hours per week, some of which could be worked from home. This role is unpaid, however expenses, including travel, will be provided.
