WMCA Courses – Insulation Installer Skills Bootcamps

Midlands-based Unyte Academy, from The Unyte Group, in collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), are thrilled to introduce Insulation Installer Skills Bootcamps. These immersive programmes offer a pathway to excellence in the construction industry.

The Insulation Installer Skills Bootcamps aim to enrich learners’ knowledge, aligning with BSI standards.

Over a 12 – 14 week period, participants will gain in-depth insights and hands-on experience. They’ll be proficient in installing insulation to PAS 2030 standards, covering various aspects, from defects and interfaces to building maintenance.

Skills Bootcamps are a collaborative effort involving employers, further education training providers, and local government.

The training and support provided align with both local and national skill demands, ensuring individuals have a direct pathway to employment and gain valuable lifelong skills.

The programme includes onsite assessments and a blended approach to learning, combining online resources with classroom tuition. This ensures learners receive unparalleled support, fostering practical experience and knowledge enhancement.

ELIGIBILITY

Residents of the WMCA Geographical Area:

These opportunities are available to residents of the WMCA geographical area, which includes Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. Employed and working in the trade.

Ages 18+

Learning Objectives: The Bootcamps aim to enrich learners’ knowledge, aligning with BSI standards. Over a 12 – 14 week period, participants gain in-depth insights and hands-on experience. **Where an employer is training an existing employee, they must contribute to the cost of the course. The amount of contribution is determined by the size of the employer (a small or medium-sized employer is defined as having fewer than 250 employees). Employers with 250 employees or more would need to contribute £690=VAT.
