WMCA publish Local Industrial Strategy
The West Midlands Combined Authority have today published their trailblazing Local Industrial Strategy.
It is clear that they have taken account of the feedback of various stakeholders including SWM and our partners to develop the final strategy.
“Sustainability West Midlands welcome the publication of the Local Industrial Strategy and are pleased to see that our Mayor, the WMCA and their partners have placed clean and inclusive growth at its heart. Our regional strengths in low carbon technologies are recognised, as is the value of our unique natural environment and biodiversity. With commitments to space and finance for innovation, we will see the growth of new market opportunities in future mobility and energy, and solutions to address urban challenges like air quality, flooding, overheating and climate change adaptation. In partnership with our networks of businesses, local authorities, universities, the health sector and communities, we look forward to supporting its implementation”
Anna Bright, Chief Executive
Keep an eye on the ‘News’ section of our website next week where we will publish a more detailed review of the strategy.
