The Woodland Trust are offering community groups, youth groups and schools the chance to apply for packs of free trees for delivery in November 2013. Any community groups are welcome to apply, whether they wish to help wildlife, create a faith or interfaith greenspace, create a community garden or allotment, or just enhance the local area. There are 4000 packs available, and the packs come in three sizes – 30, 105, or 420 saplings. Through the scheme, the packs are trying to encourage bee populations, by providing plant species that are beneficial through nectar or pollen. Groups can chose from different themed tree packs: wildlife, wild harvest, year round colour, future firewood or wetland. For more information see the downloads on this page, or visit the Woodland Trust website.
