Climate-KIC: Audit report of UK climate-related innovation networks and clusters

Lead Organisation

Sustainability West Midlands Project Manager: Anna Bright (Chief Executive)

Overview

Climate-KIC commissioned SWM to undertake an audit report of UK climate-related innovation networks and clusters. It aimed to identify where in the UK there are existing climate innovation strengths and where there is potential for establishing new strengths. The outcomes will help Climate-KIC broaden its relationships in the UK by connecting to emerging clusters with similar goals and in a way which is consistent with the national policy framework for innovation and climate action.

Results

The results generated a detailed overview of where activity on climate innovation is occurring in the UK, where there are clear opportunities for further engagement and where there may be barriers towards developing strong climate innovation clusters. Climate-KIC also used the study to produce a concise ‘Insight’ as one of a series. Download the ‘Insight’.
