Purpose of the presentations

Sustainability West Midlands in partnership with the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands convenes the Innovative Zero Carbon Working Group (IZCWG) and its associated quarterly meetings, where a cross-sector of stakeholders come together to share good practice and build cross-sector collaborative opportunities around low carbon innovation. This meeting discussed ways businesses are looking to reduce their energy costs through energy retrofit of their buildings, and the emerging ideas West Midlands Innovation Accelerator; a £30m investment into the region to ensure it benefits from the commitment to increase overall UK public research and development funding to £20bn by 2024/25.
