Purpose of the presentations

This event brought together a whole range of public sector organisations from our various networks, including from local authorities, universities and the NHS, to network and share good practice around carbon management and reduction.  We heard three excellent local examples of carbon management and real-life reductions in terms of carbon, energy and cost savings as well as overviews of support from organisations, including SWM and sponsors Salix, in terms of how they can help public sector bodies reduce carbon and save money in the process.  The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy also gave us an update on current policy and legislation and to see how all of this good work fits into the national government landscape.

Sharing of opportunities available.” “Thanks for organising a great event! Lots of food for thought. If we could look to have another sustainability / carbon public sector event again soon that would be great.”
