Willmott Dixon’s packs help pupils get through the school closures

Lead Organisation Willmott Dixon

Overview

When the Willmott Dixon Midlands community team heard about the school closures, they immediately looked at ways they could help pupils in these trying times. Thanks to the quick thinking of senior community engagement manager Marie Wilkes, regional community engagement manager Zoe Anastasi and community coordinator, Sue Woollett, over 800 stationery kits winged their way to schools to help vulnerable children with their learning at home.

Results and achievements

Despite the tight deadline, the Willmott Dixon team quickly pulled together to pack and distribute over 800 stationery kits on Thursday to schools in Birmingham, Warwickshire, Derby and Nottingham so they could be passed on to pupils on the Friday before they closed. Their kindness went viral across social media being seen by over 145,000 people and having the most engagement in Willmott Dixon’s social media history.
