Simple Sustainability for Small Businesses Workshop

The Event

‘Simple Sustainability for Small Businesses’ is a 2hr, interactive, online workshop which aims to; demystify sustainability, empower you to measure and understand your impact (in line with UK government guidance), create a simple action plan and equip you to talk about your sustainability journey with confidence.

During the session, you will:

• Understand basic sustainability terminology such as ‘carbon’ and Net Zero
• Work step-by-step through the process of creating a simple sustainability baseline to calculate the impact of your business
• Identify the biggest areas of impact in your business and pinpoint where you can make the most difference
• Identify practical, realistic changes that you can make straight away to reduce your impact going forward

The format of the session allows you to learn alongside other small business owners, and provides the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences in a supportive space.

Ahead of the session you will be provided with:

• a tailored Excel worksheet to create your baseline and track your numbers going forward
• a suggested list of figures to bring to the session for populating the worksheet in real time (optional)
• outline policy document(s) for you to adapt and share

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about making meaningful progress that positions your organisation as one which takes sustainability seriously and is able to communicate action with confidence.
