Mott MacDonald is committed not just from a corporate level but also from a local Birmingham office regional perspective to improve their own operational sustainable practices as well as service provision to their clients, particularly in the low carbon infrastructure and transport sectors.
Local clients include Transport for the West Midlands, Birmingham City Council (BCC) and Network Rail as well as other local authorities, universities, museums and hospitals in the West Midlands.
Mott MacDonald’s Birmingham office have signed up to the Birmingham City Council social charter and worked with organisations in the West Midlands region to promote sustainable practices, such as assisting Climate KIC in their Sustainble Business course in November 2014, as well as being recognised by BCC by being awarded the overall winner in the 2014 Sustainability and Waste Awards. With a local office environmental plan to ISO 14001 being in place and with over 10 years of recorded data, changes have been driven with regard waste and local staff transport surveys.
