Webb Hotel Group are committed to reducing their impact on the environment, with Moor Hall Hotel standing as an exemplar site for sustainability, including having been awarded and held for many years the Silver REST Award.

The Group’s sustainability commitments cover food and drink, energy use, waste & recycling, and cleaning, as well as how they work with suppliers and their work in and with the local area & community.

The hotels that make up Webb Hotel Group:

  • Moor Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield
  • The George Hotel in Lichfield
  • The Cathedral Hotel, also in Lichfield
  • The Gables Hotel in South Gloucestershire

On their membership with SWM, they say:

“The Webb Group are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and reducing our carbon footprint and consumption. We use locally produced ingredients and fair-trade products in our restaurants, only use plastic free disposable products, and recycle all used paper, plastic and cardboard. We have replaced lightbulbs with low energy LED, added new EV charging points in our car parks, and encourage guests to offset their carbon emissions when they visit with our woodland tree planting scheme.

At Moor Hall, our building is over 100 years old and we have to work with what we have. We have solar panels powering the laundry and maintenance buildings and the indoor pool, and invested £75k (in 2022) on new eco-friendly washing and drying machines which help reduce water and energy.

“By introducing new ideas and working with likeminded local companies we can adapt and make the business more sustainable for the future.”
