Training Needs for Transformational Climate Adaptation

The Maximising UK Adaptation to Climate Change (MACC) Hub has launched a new survey to map the current landscape of climate change adaptation training across the UK.

The aim is to better understand what knowledge, skills and capacities practitioners already have, and what support they need to deliver effective, long-term and transformational adaptation.

The survey explores:

  • Current training and learning opportunities in climate adaptation
  • Gaps, priorities and unmet needs across sectors
  • How organisations approach adaptation, including structural barriers and decision-making processes

Insights gathered will help shape new training initiatives that build the capabilities, confidence and cultures needed for transformational adaptation; adaptation that addresses the root causes of vulnerability, not just the symptoms.

The survey takes around 25 minutes to complete and will close at the end of February 2026.
