WMCA Community Environment Network

Applications for West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Community Environment Network are now open.

WMCA is seeking voluntary sector partners to host fully funded Community Environment Networkers, supporting community-led engagement with environmental challenges in Birmingham, The Black Country, Solihull and Coventry.

The aim is to grow a network of community-based organisations delivering projects involving the environment, supporting communities across the West Midlands building knowledge, confidence and capacity to engage with environmental challenges; particularly in areas experiencing higher levels of deprivation and environmental inequality.

The roles are designed to add capacity and coordination, working across communities to support learning, collaboration and connection around environmental issues that are relevant to local priorities.

These roles form part of a three-year programme (running to June 2029), funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Each role is supported by £102,025, alongside a wider package of support and WMCA-funded activity that enables engagement.

Application deadline: Friday 24th July 2026 (23:58)
