Date of the workshops

Speakers
Mike Peverill (Climate UK) Rachel Walters (Environment Agency)
Purpose of the workshops
These workshops allowed delegates to try out the online Climate Just tool. The tool is designed to help with the delivery of equitable responses to climate change at the local level. Its main focus is to assist the development of socially just responses to the impacts of extreme events, such as flooding and heatwaves, as well as supporting wider climate change adaptation. It also includes issues related to fuel poverty and carbon emissions. It contains maps and case studies, as well as help and support for communities who are disadvantaged by the impacts of climate change. The morning session was for those new to the Tool; the afternoon was for people that have used the Tool before looking to gain a more advanced knowledge.
