Purpose of the presentations
Climate change poses a significant risk to the water sector. This workshop highlighted the excellent work Severn Trent has already done to adapt to the impacts of extreme weather, and it also gave the opportunity for stakeholders to feed in their views on where and how Severn Trent should prioritise their next actions in tackling climate change. SWM also gave an overview on current adaptation legislation, and Simon from Cleone Foods delivered an inspiring presentation about how their small business has become more resilient – he even brought along some patties for us to sample!
