Purpose of the workshops

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has provided all 38 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in England with funding to develop an energy strategy. Encraft and SWM were successful in bidding to provide the support to Stoke and Staffordshire LEP to develop its strategy. Encraft, one of our members, are responsible for developing the strategy, whilst SWM has led on stakeholder engagement. This meant convening two workshops inviting key stakeholders to feed in their ideas as to what should happen after the strategy is published: how should the LEP take forward the suggested activities? Who should be involved? How can Stoke & Staffs demonstrate leadership in the field of energy? Attendees came from a variety of backgrounds, including local SMEs, universities and local authorities. The resources show slides delivered by Encraft that provide more information about the strategy, and notes from the workshop sessions that outline the key discussion points.
