Connecting climate research and policy for Adaptation in Scotland

The Event

This MACC Hub webinar will introduce ClimateXChange (CXC), Scotland’s centre of expertise connecting climate change research with policy. The session will explore how CXC works with the Scottish Government to support evidence-informed climate adaptation policies.

The agenda will open with an overview of the organization and its role in facilitating knowledge exchange between policymakers and researchers, work that helps guide Scotland’s climate adaptation policies. This will be followed by a look at recent progress in climate adaptation research, highlighting initiatives that engage new audiences, emphasize the need for measurable adaptation targets, and support a just transition toward a resilient, net-zero economy. Together, the session will offer insights into Scotland’s approach to connecting research, policy and practice to strengthen climate adaptation and resilience.
