The Biomass Feedstocks Innovation Programme aims to increase the production of sustainable domestic biomass by funding innovative ideas that address barriers to biomass feedstock production. It will support those who are seeking to improve productivity, through breeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting. The project development stage is now open for applications until 7 May. BEIS has £4 million of competitive funding for the project development stage, with up to £200,000 of full funding available per project (there is no opportunity for applicants to obtain match funding). This will enable suppliers to develop strong project proposals that will deliver commercially viable innovations in biomass production.
