Tech Nation is launching a Net Zero programme for companies who are paving the way to helping to reach the UK’s net zero targets by 2050 and is now seeking applications.
Criteria
They are looking for digital and hardware companies which operate across key sectors including electricity & energy, transport & mobility, agriculture, food systems, manufacturing and building technology. Companies may directly contribute to net zero, with emission-reducing and carbon capture technologies or may contribute indirectly by changing consumer behaviour, or increasing efficiencies. Net Zero is for fast-growth digital or hardware businesses which help the UK reduce greenhouse gas emissions either directly or indirectly. Criteria for applicants:
- Headquartered in the UK
- Potential and ambition to make an at-scale impact
- Evidence that the product or service is beyond the minimum viable product phase
- Proven evidence of some market traction
- Grant funding or investment up to Seed or Series A or has revenues below £1.5m
Benefits and involvement
Benefits include involvement a series of workshops, meetups, sustainability sessions and gaining exposure as the free programme is based on peer-to-peer learning and will kick off in October 2020. For six months, participants will receive sessions with expert speakers and in-depth learning and networking events. Net Zero is a six-month, free growth programme for tech companies that create a more sustainable future.
