Klere have two areas of focus:
1) Energy Biochar and Carbon Capture – we are working with LA’s to adopt biomass processing via pyrolysis to sequester carbon, generate local carbon -negative, renewable energy while making biochar a useful product in agriculture/horticulture and industry. This process helps LA’s achieve their Net Zero targets through carbon insetting.
2) We strive to connect business to carbon and nature impacts through measurement. We want to bring a thorough yet cost effective and easier to understand metric to business that shows priority impacts, risks and dependencies on nature. Carbon and nature are integrated and both should be considered in priorities for action. If we can drive investment into nature by showing businesses where they impact it and depend on it, then we will make big leaps forward in nature restoration.
