Climate Innovation Platform (CIP) – Springboard Programme

The University of Birmingham Climate Innovation Platform is offering a bespoke business development programme designed for early-stage climate innovators and entrepreneurs.

Supported by HSBC UK, this is a hybrid programme supporting UK-registered SMEs developing innovative climate solutions. While most sessions are delivered online, a small number of in-person workshops will take place in Birmingham. Businesses from across the UK are encouraged to express interest.

Expressions of Interest for Cohort 6 are now welcome, with recruitment opening in September 2026. Cohort 6 is due to commence January 2027; registering your interest now ensures you’ll be notified when applications officially open.

Based at Tyseley Energy Park, within Birmingham’s Green Energy and Innovation Quarter, CIP offers businesses on any of their support programmes the opportunity to access funding, incubation support/space and join a growing network of cleantech innovators.
