Our Roadmap to 2030Sustainability West Midlands is seeking an enthusiastic Volunteer Communications Officer to join our team on a year-long placement. The placement would last from September/October 2026 – April/May 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical experience in sustainability, communications and membership engagement within a respected regional sustainability organisation.
Placement details:
- Voluntary position (reasonable travel expenses reimbursed)
- Approximately three days per week
- At least one day per week based at our office in STEAMhouse, Birmingham
- Flexible start date between September and October 2026
- Placement running until April/May 2027 (exact dates to be agreed)
The successful candidate will gain experience supporting communications, social media, website updates, member engagement, newsletters, events and a variety of sustainability-related projects.
