Purpose of the presentations
Air tightness is a critical component of energy efficient construction. The workshop focussed on the importance of airtightness and gave a full overview of how to achieve air tightness in a building. A highlight of the event was the hands-on air tightness demonstration provided by renowned air tightness expert Paul Jennings of Aldas. A contractor’s perspective from the high rise retrofit of Wilmcote House in Portsmouth to the EnerPHit standard, was also provided at the event. Attendees took a tour of the state-of-the-art Sustainable Centre at EH Smith.
