Purpose of the report
The purpose of this report is to share our initial draft sustainability review of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) proposed powers and activities as set out in November 2015. This is a rapidly changing policy environment and we hope that this draft review will help shape SWM members and other local stakeholders thinking about where the potential opportunities are in this agenda to contribute to a sustainable future. This review is informing our support programme for the WMCA in terms of where the greatest opportunities are and therefore where to align our efforts and that of our members. If you have conducted your own reviews or policy statements please let send them to enquiries@swm.org.uk and we will use these and other evidence as we finalise our sustainability review in early 2016.
