This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and effective professional to join Newcastle Borough Council’s Sustainable Environment Service Team.
This two-year fixed term role will deliver high-quality information about new services and waste reduction across the Staffordshire-wide Waste Partnership area.
The role is based in the Sustainable Environment Service at Newcastle Borough Council but will deliver work across the Partnership.
The waste industry has become an exciting place full of change, with a range of waste reforms requiring council services to change significantly.
There’s a lot of change and information to communicate to residents, and there are statutory deadlines for change that must be met, and be delivered successfully, and that’s going to mean a lot of engaging work taking place.
You’ll learn a lot about things like Simpler Recycling, p-EPR, DRS, ETS and a vibrant landscape of positive changes to deliver a Circular Economy.
The focus will initially be around the requirement to provide efficient and effective engagement materials for the introduction of new food waste collection services, but the drive to remove items from the waste stream reaches beyond that.
The council will provide all the waste sector training you need, but your passion for engaging and informing will be the key feature of the role.
The deadline to apply is 18 July.
