Jesusoorefunmi Olaoye (Soore) is an Associate Project Manager at OVO Energy, working on implementing zero carbon projects for households which helps in achieving OVO’s Plan Zero aims by 2035. His experience and unique mix of entrepreneurship cuts across Telecommunications, Renewables, Environmental and Management consulting in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (Nigeria, Mozambique, Congo DRC, Ghana) and the United Kingdom. Given his dedication to sustainable development, he has been instrumental in developing other businesses and social change initiatives, serving as a volunteer, mentor, and strategist over the past 7 years
Prior to joining OVO, Soore was a Senior Energy Associate at Stratagem Energy in Nigeria where he provided strategic direction for implementing net zero solutions for Industrial and Commercial clients. He has also worked with Gommyr in London to develop renewable microgrids for businesses and to bridge the energy access gap across some Sub-Saharan African markets. He also worked as a Skills Manager for the Hydrogen and knowledge exchange platform (HyDEX) which was focused on developing the skilled workforce needed for a low carbon transition to a hydrogen economy in the Midlands, England
Soore holds a BSc in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Masters in Energy and Environmental Management at Teesside University.
