Environment & Energy Network: Building Greener Communities- Year One in Review

The Event

At this Environment & Energy Network meeting BVSC will be hearing from ecobirmingham about their Building Greener Communities project, which is creating and delivering Sustainability and Ward-Wide Action Plans in Birmingham communities.

Building Greener Communities is a three-year initiative led by ecobirmingham, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. The project empowers two Birmingham-based community development organisations– The Springfield Project and Allens Cross Community Association– to drive sustainability-focused activities and improvements in Sparkhill and Allens Cross. The aim is to create greener, healthier, and more connected communities.

In this session, Suzie Moffatt, Project Coordinator from ecobirmingham, will introduce the project’s key aims and outcomes,  share highlights from the first year, and offer a glimpse into plans for years two and three. She will also explore opportunities for other organisations to collaborate and get involved with the project.
