The Event

SWM is involved in the MACC Hub as an engagement partner covering the whole of England, and to support the development of non-academic outputs.

Climate Change will have profound impacts across the UK. By addressing the root causes of vulnerability and inequality, we can better prepare for these changes while delivering benefits for society. This approach is at the heart of the MACC Hub. Attending the MACC Hub Annual Conference will give you the opportunity to learn more about adaptation action taking place around the UK through the Hub, and to share your insights to help shape its future activities.

Why join us:

· Explore Transformational Adaptation in practice with a focus on the root causes of vulnerability and justice-oriented approaches

· Examine how adaptation action aligns with key national and regional policy priorities

· Join interactive workshops to explore real-world challenges and solutions for system-wide resilience

· Discover and shape practical outputs coming from the MACC Hub’s work in Scotland and across the UK

· Connect and collaborate with adaptation experts and practitioners from across sectors and regions and understand how the MACC Hub can support your work

Who is this event for:

· Policy makers – to understand how insights from MACC Hub will help inform the next National Adaptation Plan for England (NAP4) and the implementation of current National Adaptation Plans in Scotland, NI and Wales

· Public sector bodies – to learn and share practical solutions for implementing adaptation action and projects within your organisation

· Businesses, third sector and communities – to share experiences of adaptation action, gain new insights and to explore emerging funding opportunities

· Researchers and research organisations – to join formative conversations on upcoming adaptation research and to co-identify current knowledge gaps
