West Midlands Combined Authority: Next steps on climate change adaptation
Building on our wider regional work on climate change adaptation with the Environment Agency, the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) commissioned SWM, supported by our members Accelar and our Associate Mat Burhouse, to help commence their work on the subject, fitting in with their wider and well established sustainability ambitions.

West Midlands Combined Authority: Supporting them with their Adaptation Reporting Power submission
Using our experience of supporting organisations with climate change adaptation, SWM worked with AtkinsRéalis to support the WMCA in preparing a response to the Adaptation Reporting Power (ARP).

This project helped the WMCA to economically quantify the impacts that climate change could have on the area.

West Midlands Combined Authority: West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge
The West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge was launched by Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, in March 2021 and now has over 100 pledged organisations including many SWM members such as National Express West Midlands and Mott MacDonald.

West Midlands Regional Development Agency (Advantage West Midlands): Sustainable Development Action Plan
Sustainable development is a complex agenda, how can it be interpreted and practically applied by regional, public sector organizations? SWM set out to answer this question in the context of Advantage West Midlands (AWM). The aim of this was to help build the understanding, confidence, and capacity of regional organizations to practically integrate sustainable development into their strategic and operational processes.

Worcester City Council: Sustainability Strategy & Online Engagement Workshops
