The Event
This webinar invites participants to explore practical examples of transformational adaptation. While there remains many barriers to adaptation implementation despite calls for increasing urgency, there are some excellent examples of good practice that have the potential to be scaled up or replicated elsewhere.
We will showcase a small selection of these examples to spark ideas, energy and inspiration to encourage others to collaborate on similar projects that meet transformational adaptation objectives.
The webinar will aim to answer the following questions:
- What does transformational adaptation look like in practice?
- What ingredients are key to implementing a transformational adaptation project?
- What funding and resources were utilised to set up and roll out the projects?
- How have projects been monitored to ensure success?
Agenda
We will showcase three projects from across the country, presented by those directly involved in their implementation. Attendees will also be able to ask questions of the speakers, and will be invited to share examples of best practice that they are involved in or aware of.
Speakers
Chaired by Alan Carr, Senior Sustainability Adviser at SWM and MACC Hub England engagement co-lead, we are delighted to have on the panel:
- Becky Davies, Taff Catchment Programme Manager, Natural Resources Wales
- Natalie Barnett, Climate Adaptation Officer, Somerset Wildlife Trust and MACC Hub Advisory Board
