The Event
The ASBP Reuse Summit 2025 explores how material reuse can help tackle these environmental and systemic challenges, as part of their ongoing Reuse Now campaign. This year’s summit focuses on the link between reuse, risk mitigation, and resilience, highlighting practical, strategic pathways to reduce embodied carbon, strengthen supply chains and future-proof business.
At their third annual summit, attendees will hear from forward-thinking practitioners and thought leaders who are reshaping how we approach design, demolition and material reuse. The event features interactive panels and expert-led sessions on topics such as:
Risk & Resilience – Moving Circular Economy out of the sustainability silo
A contractor-led panel exploring reuse and circular economy at a strategic impact level. Discussions will address the risks of inaction, and how contractors are working internally and across their supply chains to build resilience, upskill teams, and embed reuse into core operations. Speakers will explore double materiality and related reporting standards. With evolving compliance timelines and growing expectations around circularity, attendees will gain insight into the implications of upcoming regulations, working closely with supply chains, and how to leverage circular strategies alongside future disclosure requirements.
Addressing the Perceived & Actual Risks of Structural Reuse
Steel, timber, concrete – real vs. perceived risks in reusing structural materials. This session will discuss the latest insights across performance, safety, insurance, and investor confidence, along with real-world examples that show how structural reuse is being delivered in practice. Speakers will explore the decision-making process around choosing “the right material, in the right quantities, for the right job.”
People & Behaviours – how to create the best chance of success for reclamation and reuse?
Shifting mindsets – from toolbox talks and exemplar site visits to the importance of clear brief – this session dives into the behavioural and cultural enablers of successful reuse. Speakers will highlight the importance of early engagement, cross-disciplinary collaboration, timely intervention and education. What mistakes are made? What has worked so far? What more is needed? And how can support be scaled to accelerate change?
