The Event
Broken electrical items? Why not bring them back to life!
A Repair Café, sponsored by Veolia, where community members can bring broken electrical items and work alongside skilled volunteers to fix them. This free, hands-on event is all about learning, sharing skills, and promoting sustainable living.
Booking is essential.
Repair Cafés are all about:
- Fixing things together
- Learning how repairs work
- Reducing waste and extending the life of our belongings
What We Can Fix
- Basic repairs that don’t require new parts
- Simple maintenance tasks
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Reattaching, resoldering, or adjusting existing components
What We Cannot Fix
- Items needing replacement parts (unless you bring them)
- Devices with significant internal damage
- Smashed phone screens (unless you bring a correct replacement screen)
Tips for Your Visit
- Items should be reasonably clean
- Bring power cables or charged batteries for electronic items
- If you know a specific part is needed, bring it with you
- Be prepared to stay and watch the repair – it’s a shared learning experience
